WestJet started operations on Feb 29th, 1996 with 3 aircraft. The 737-700 featured on this dvd started joining the fleet in 2001. By the end of 2004 the airline had flown more than 32 million guests and by the end of 2005 the average age of the fleet was just 2 years..
This dvd takes you on 10 flights in the cockpit on a nice selection of routes with the pilots giving a lot of details about the routes and destinations, ATC communications and great Canadian and San Francisco scenery ; also included 1 flight filmed from the cabin from Calgary to Toronto.

Being my first video from WAR, I am very impressed with the quality of the same as well as the experience of coming to know about such a friendly airline. Being an airplane technician and enthusiast I enjoyed this experience very much. Also, the canadian landscape seems to be very beautifull and will probably visit the country and have a flight on WestJet from San Francisco to Calgary.

I’ve seen lots of 737 DVDs but the WestJet program was still really impressive, one of the best of my large Just Planes collection. There is a nice variety of destinations and you get a feeling that this would be a great airline to fly. So much so that it will be my company of choice when visiting Canada!

I was very satisfied with your DVD portraying the operations of WestJet. I had to get this DVD because I am Canadian, enjoy the scenery of the Rocky Mountains, flew on this airline before and because I really like the 737NG series of airplanes. This DVD showed just how friendly WestJet and their crews are as a company to their guests. They always make you feel at home with their sense of humour and the fact that they seem to really enjoy their jobs and the company that they work for. Probably my favourite scene of this program, although it was just for a few seconds, was overflying Thunder Bay, Ontario enroute from Calgary to my home in Toronto. Thunder Bay was special for me for I started my flight training there and it was so nice to have a view from the top of the city that I started learning to fly in while working towards my goal of a flying career. The crews did a wonderful job of explaining the scenery we flew over especially in Western Canada and I enjoyed the walkaround and maintenance tours provided within the DVD. Congratulations on a great program as usual and I hope to see other Canadian airlines added to the series in future programs.

The WestJet 737-700 dvd is outstanding. Out of the 20+ dvds I have purchased in this series, I believe the WestJet dvd is the best in terms of video quality, clear camera views and realistic pilot perspectives - you feel like you are sitting in the Captain's seat of an advanced 737-700. The scenary throughout is stunning and the airline crews are professional and very friendly. Having flown on WestJet in the past, I now look forward to flying WestJet again and visiting this very beautiful part of the world (the Canadian Rockies are spectacular). I highly recommend this dvd and I will watch it many times in the future - it is extremely well done.
