An excellent DVD! What a great flight to Innbruck to land on Rwy. 08. This is definately one of my favorites to watch over and over and practice on FSX with the PMDG737NGX. I really love the video. Thank you very much. Robert Yunque |
The Transavia DVD was a job well done. We had great scenery on all of our flights and for those that enjoy the 737NG family of aircraft, this is a must. Cockpit explanations were done very nicely and it was just overall a good addition to the series. Jeff Schapira, CANADA

The approach and landing (visual after a steep ILS approach between the Austrian mountains is magnificent.

The approach and landing for Marseille has to be performed without the ILS-system of the airfield because it is out of order. A change of approach for Amsterdam gives the necessary action in the cockpit. The visual approach in the middle of the Alpes (Insbruck) with a very low and sharp turn from downwind to final is breathtaking, I loved it! Last but not least; most of the crew are very kind and clear when explaining what they are doing. Ron Dudink, NETHERLANDS |
This is an amazing video! Very well done! Jack Buijs, NETHERLANDS |
Just to thank you for producing a superb DVD !!! This DVD is worth purchasing just for the breathtaking approach into Innsbruck on its own !!! A visually superb and highly informative DVD. Gary Poole, UNITED KINGDOM |
Wonderful , wonderful!! This is my first DVD of you guys , and I really really enjoyed it. Especially the Approach at Innsbruck and the Climb out above Amsterdam on the flight to Izmir , Cloud surfing! I am sure that I'll buy more of those awesome dvd's. Pascal Rijkerst, NETHERLANDS |
This is perhaps my favorite DVD involving the Boeing 737-700 and 737-800. I think that we should be very thankful for Transavia's Chief Pilot Captain Boertien for taking the time out from his busy schedule to help with the filming of this DVD. He does an excellent job with his presentation of the 737-800, including giving a brief history of Transavia Airlines. Also, recognition needs to be given to Captain Boertien's First Officer. Especially with the preflight preparation prior to the flight to Innsbruck. And for giving the viewers a detail walk arround at Innsbruck. Finally, Captain Limburg Stirum, Transavia's Instructor pilot. We should thank him for taking the time to give the viewers detail on the 737-700 and for flying the round trip flight between Amsterdam and Marseille. I was very happy to learn that Transavia allows their Co-Pilots taxi the airplane. I wish that more airlines would follow Transavia example with that. John McCreery, USA |
This is truly an amazing production. There is a detailed explanation by the captain of the route and approach info. The first officer also gives a detailed and informative walkaround presentation. Lovely scenery on the approaches. Once again a great all round production. Well done. F Atang, UNITED KINGDOM |
A wonderful program that features a fleet of 737s based in Amsterdam. Transavia has great confidence in their F/O's as they are permitted to perform taxi operations (a practice not done with other carriers). On the short leg to Marseille, the plane cruises at an altitude of FL410. Later on, the F/O (acting as pilot flying), performs a non-precision NDB approach as the ILS was out of service. Capt. Van Limburg Stirum does a good cockpit panel presentation, which includes the MCP, FMC and aisle stand. The main highlight of this program is the very interesting (and scary) LOC-DME RWY08 approach to Innsbruck. It contains an unusual landing procedure in which at 9,500 feet, the flaps are extended at 30 degrees with the landing gear down. After landing, F/O Van Der Sande performs an external walkaround of the aircraft. Another good bonus are several video clips of departing and arriving Transavia 737s. Clear video and audio quality all throughout the feature, plus spectacular view of the Alps around Innsbruck. Rating at 4/5 stars! Keep up the good work Just Planes!
