I'm super excited with this week's announcement by Skytrax of the 2011 World Airline Awards! Not only is the world's best airline in our series, but more than 20 of the best airline winners as well, I think that says a lot for the kind of airlines we've been able to feature in the series. New Hi-Def Programs

Our 5th HD program has been extremely well received, to say the least. For the 4th time we were delighted to bring Air Canada to you! After Asia, Australia, Europe and South America we were headed to the Caribbean area and this time it was the Embraer 190 that stole the show. Many of you have written about how much you appreciated Captain Jeff Lewis and his work on this program. Somehow seeing the success of the series I have a feeling we may be in for a 5th program this year. If you have a moment, please send comments for this and other Air Canada programs, it really helps us in showing the airline how much the series is appreciated.

Tonight we release our 6th HD program. Some of you might know that I'm originally from Belgium so it gives me great pleasure in welcoming the 10th airline from Belgium! Brussels Airlines is now the major airline in that country with a fleet of more than 50 aircraft and the airline is also the 13th member of Star Alliance features in the World Air Routes series. You're in for a special treat with the airline's Airbus Fleet Manager taking you on a trip to 2 African countries and he does a wonderful job presenting a typical African operation, the flights and the aircraft to you.

With the success of the Air Canada series I'm hoping to bring you one more program this year, in addition we have some other exciting things in production right now.  Make sure always to keep an eye on our Facebook page for information on whats going on and coming up... and within a week or two we will be posting the photo clues and starting the guessing game for our 7th HD DVD.

VHS to DVD Programs

The VHS programs picked in June for a return on DVD were 2 Flight in the Cockpit programs featuring Brazilian airline VASP and their fleet of Airbus A300s, Boeing 737-200s, Boeing 737-300s and Douglas MD11s. You can now purchase both Flight in the Cockpit videos for the price of one DVD and enjoy some classic Brazilian flying as well as the MD11 on its international route to New York JFK.

I get continuous request to release the Royal B727-200 & B737-200 programs on DVD and I can confirm they will be coming back at some point however a release date has not yet been established. As you can imagine, releasing something every week requires a lot of work and planning  but I promise you these titles will not be forgotten.

Sold Out Programs

Back in the series this month are the very popular program featuring Canadian North and its fleet of Boeing 737-200s and Fokker 28s along with the Continental Express ATR-42 filmed just weeks before the Sept 11th attacks and offering one last view of the twin towers in the series!
