Maldivian Air Taxi, one of the largest seaplane operators in the world, has been in operation since 1993. The airline services resorts in the Maldive Islands with a fleet of 16 to 22 Twin Otters depending on the season.

This 3hr DVD takes you on 15 flights where you can see the pilots at work along with some of the most spectacular exotic island scenery in the world. The airline's Chief Pilot takes you for a detailed tour inside and outside the Twin Otter and shows the special equipment used for certain flights and as a special bonus we've included 2 flights with air to air filming of another Maldivian Air TaxiTwin Otter.

I have just recieved my first order "Maldivian Air Taxi Twin Otter" and to thank you for the excellent service and the fantastic quality and content of the DVD. I was actually in the Maldives last year for my 50th birthday and flew with M.A.T to Kuredu which is a route you feature in the DVD. I spent many happy mornings on the beach at sunrise watching the early morning departures back to Male. The DVD was facinating not only to see the cockpit views of the flights but also the excellent interview with the Chief Pilot who did an amazing job explaining all about the Twin Otter. I was also facinated to hear that they are ferried from Male to Canada every couple of years. I can only imagin what a flight that must be. Can't wait to get my next DVD. Thanks to Just Planes for producing this DVD. This location was my request a year and a half ago, and I was elated when I saw this come available. This is an awesome program about the Twin Otters in the Maldives. The scenery is superb and many islands are viewed in the program. Quite impressive is the Twin Otter's STOL performance as demonstrated throughout the video. Some landings, filmed outside the aircraft from the docks, showed the incredible landings and how the DHC-6 stops NOW! The air-to-air footage is exciting to watch. This is one of my favorite DVD's and I've watched this DVD three times in a week!

An outstanding program on Maldivian Air Taxi! A great deal of information about the Twin Otter with detailed pilot presentations of the insude and outside of the aircraft, specially outfitted as seaplanes. Also, nicely done presentations of the special equipment required to overnight the airplanes at remote island destinations and a detailed description of the route flown when the airplanes are ferried from the Maldives back to the home base in Canada, a very long distance for a Twin Otter! For me, the major highlight of this program is the air to air photography on a flight from Kuredu to Male with the 2 planes flying in close formation over the most spectacular tropical island scenery of the program. For this, the weather was picture perfect with incredibly scenery of the atolls and islands of the Maldives. I recently had watched the whole Maldivan Air Taxi program. The progam is my favorite Just Planes DVD. I did enjoy the internal and external presentations of the Twin Otter done by the Chief Pilot. This DVD has an unusual feature which was a short tour of a hotel. One thing I liked about this DVD was that the ocean scenery and the Maldivan Island scenery was incredibly beautiful!
