Took me a while getting around to watch this one, I do own close to 50 WAR DVD's now. Talk about bang for the buck. This DVD is all short flights and is full of constant action. I don't think a minute goes by where the crew isn't busy. I love the way Cpt. Telmo doesn't make much use of VNAV, the flights are too short. He uses the autopilot right down to finals with his quick fingers on that HDG & V/S wheel! And this DVD has as many take off and landings you could shake a stick at! If your an NG fan (I am nuts about them) this DVD is a must have. Great job WAR team! Allan Stiff, CANADA

I highly recommend the GOL program program. It is loaded
with great shots of Rio Santos Dumont airport from all
angles. The DVD also has great cockpit action including
presentations and briefings by the pilots. Along with the
nice flights from in the cabin, the behind the scenes
demonstration of the GOL website and the
scheduling/operations software was great to see. Great work

cities of Brazil. It´s nice to see the traffic in
Congonhas, a visual short approach in Curitiba, many
landings in Rio, wipers working hard in a
rainy approach in Navegantes, beautifull flight

Worldairroutes has really SCORED with GOL. This dvd is done
extremely well with excellent views of both the 737-700/800
cockpit and the beautiful Brazilian
scenary. Landing at Rio's
aircraft-carrier-like Santos Dumont airport is quite an
exciting experience with great mountain and beach views.
Landings at Navegantes and Vitoria are also memorable with
interesting and scenic approaches. Jan Mogren does an
excellent job of filming with crystal-clear ATC
communications and wonderful views from directly over the
Captain's right shoulder - I felt like I was flying the
aircraft. GOL is a very dynamic airline and I look forward
to flying GOL and visiting beautiful Brazil one day soon.

It was quite unusual that the program began without any 'welcome message' from the crew. Planes are seen holding short, taking off and landing at the infamous runway 35L at Congonhas airport. Twenty five minutes later, viewers are introduced into the GOL flight center to understand how the company operates. Aside from landing at short runways, pilots also perform challenging non-precision approaches and landings in bad weather. Real live birds are observed on the runways in several occassions. Later on in the program, beautiful and charming flight attendants are seen serving refreshments for passengers. What I liked most is the NDB approach to SDU as runway 20L is dangerously short, with a high terrain up ahead and located in between water. The overhead panel presentation was an additional feature, although it was not explained thoroughly.
This program has excellent video and audio quality with clear ATC communications, great images of the scenery around Brazil. Unfortunately, as the flights are short in duration, the pilots are constantly busy which leaves them less time to explain about cockpit preparations and procedures that take place. The Lauda 737NG series is a better production. In my humble opinion, I would rate this DVD at 3/5 stars. Roy Joven Benzonan, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
