Magnificent views of the French isles! We would like to be onboard with the crew! What a beautiful St Marteen, the most famous town in the world for spotters! All the 747 commands are well detailed by the captain! Again a must have for the collection! Michael Viardot, FRANCE
My compliments to the Just Planes and Corsairfly crews for making this DVD entertaining. The filming was well done (e.g. The Landing in SXM). Please note that First Officer Hugo Richardson was the Co-Pilot on the Corsair B747SP (RUN-ORY), where he performed the landing.

Wow is all I can say about this DVD. The footage from TNCM (St Maarten) makes it all worth while. The details they go through in this DVD is outstanding. The extensive pre flight was great to learn from and shows how many factors are involved and also the amount of consideration that is given to fly such a large bird into a small airport like TNCM. I also love the overhead camera replay of the landing at TNCM. You pretty much have to ace any 747 landing there, zero room for error on such a short runway. The crew did a great job! This is a two flight video, Paris to Miami and back. It includes 2 hours of flying in English, plus almost another hour of information in French. It was filmed in HD, but created as a DVD, which means the video is exceptional, but not quite a Blu-Ray. This is an eight hour plus flight each direction, with two pilots and no relief.
There is more information on pre-flight, and aircraft systems than on any of the other Just Planes videos I have seen. It is well done, and entertaining. The flight to Miami, because of winds, in north Atlantic from Paris to Newfoundland, then down the east coast of the US, so a lot of spectacular scenery. There is a segment on landing from a window mounted cam that is slightly out of focus, but still nice to have. The flight back is direct from Miami to Paris, a straight line across the ocean, so a different set of flying issues to discuss. Cloudy weather on the return is also cool visually.
A nice video well worth the money, you will enjoy watching it, and it will take you several viewings to take everything in if you are unfamiliar with the 747-400.
