World Air Routes visited Continental Express in the summer of 2001 and this DVD was filmed weeks before the September 11 attacks. As a result this is a rare opportunity to witness the departure and arrival in and out of Newark International Airport with views of the twin towers. You will also experience the approach and landing on runway 29 with a sharp turn on very short final, a reminder of the Kai Tak Airport approach. This DVD is a unique opportunity to visit airports such as Philadelphia, Bradley near Hartford, Albany and Burlington. The crew goes over the briefing and flight information, Captain Mc Knight also gives you a cockpit presentation as well as an external walkaround of the ATR42. I received my WAR Continental Express ATR-42 DVD yesterday and have finished watching it and it was everything that I would hope it would be! What an awesome DVD. Sad to see the once WTC Twin Towers standing in Lower Manhattan, nonetheless a fascinating tribute to the landmark.  Anyhow I just wanted to let you know that I received the DVD and I am very happy with it. This is a great DVD, I've always wondered about how the ATR 42's operated and this was my chance to actually see how this aircraft works, and i must say I'm very impressed. I just wanted to comment on the dvd's that I received. I have the Lan Chile & Continental Express ATR 42 dvd's. I think both dvd's are outstanding. I especially like the 'in cabin' flights. like on the Continental Express ATR 42 dvd. on the ATR 42 dvd, it was strange to see the World Trade Center towers standing in the background. but overall, I think the world air routes & flights in the cockpits are the best. Just viewed the Coex ATR flight video. I enjoyed watching it very much. I think it was well done. It was very exciting to "sit back, relax" and watch what I do for a living on DVD. My wife was very impressed as well and commented, "Wow, I still can't believe you do that for a living." Everything about the video was well done. I have purchased over 50 videos over the past couple of years an just purchased my first DVD's. I wanted to say that I really loved the Continental ATR-42 DVD. I live < 5 miles west of EWR and have seen the ATR-42 rather frequently flying over my house on its approach to EWR. This DVD was excellent and put me there. I got the DVDs a few days ago and I am going through the CO Express disc for the 7th time! You stuck gold with this one! The shots are excellent, the crew provides good explanations on the trip and the cockpit tour was informative. The presentations were excellent and I like especially the Newark to Albany segment since it shows New York from the air at its pre Sept 11 best.
