I loved the DVD! The thing which never stops to amaze me is the fact these guys have to work in some of the most terrible weather conditions but they still keep the old girls flying! It's nice to see what its really like to  fly aircraft like the DC-4 and C-46, during the flights I got a real sense of what it would be like to fly up in the NWT. Listening to Cpt.Schreder go through all of the cockpit features really does bring it home how much work goes into flying these old aircraft. Over all the DVD is a 5/5, I would love to see another Buffalo Airways DVD maybe on the L-188 and DC-3! Thomas Emms, CANADA
Best one so far!. Great filming of all instruments during all phases of flight. It is nice to see what the airplane is doing. power settings and temps and fuel flows, airspeeds and altitudes/climb rates, GPS readouts. Super to see the instruments during runup and takeoff too. I really like technical details of this film. Stunning scenery of NWT during summer as expected. Fantastic DVD and cant wait for Buffalo part 2 DC-3's and L188 and CL215???? hint hint Campbell,  AUSTRALIA

Woow! I've just taken a time machine trip back to the 1940s and 1950s thanks to Just Planes and Buffalo Airways! It's fantastic to take flights on the C-46 and DC-4 over the very unusual scenery of extreme Northern Canada. The long trip from Yellowknife to Igoolik and back has dramatic views of the tundra and icy waters above the Arctic Circle and features views of the right wing and engines from the copilot's seat. Also included is a nice DC-4 cockpit presentation. The flight from Norman Wells to Yellowknife on the DC-4 with nbr 4 engine shutdown and feathered is especially interesting with inflight views of both wings shot through the cabin windows. An interesting company presentation and lots of great exterior shots of the Buffalo C-46's and DC-4's on the ground combine to make this DVD a must have for all of us fans of the wonderful old airliners of the 1940s and 1950s! Thank you Just Planes and Buffalo Airways! Greg Rowland, USA

This is a great addition to my library. Flying like it was, almost. I have enjoyed all of it. Seeing he True North Strong & Free (as per O Canada, national anthem) made it even more interesting for me. It is definitely one of my favourites. Thanks guys! Andre Tremblay, CANADA
This DVD was produced by Just Planes as a part of their "In The Cockpit" series. Two of Buffalo Airways vintage piston engined airplanes are featured. English audio tract, without subtitles. Filmed in the summertime, the film maker puts you (the viewer) in the planes and on the airport ramp. On the ground you observe the planes being serviced and cargo being loaded and unloaded. In the planes, you are in the cockpit observing the crew during take offs, landings, and flying the plane. You are treated to the sweeping vistas of the Canadian Arctic as seen from the plane while being taken to several destinations regularly serviced by Bufflao Airways. Mikey McBryan does a monologue to camera eplaining what Buffalo is about. The late Arnie Schreder pilots the DC-4 and does a monologue to camera about the plane he was flying.J.A.
Especially for those who have had the fun of flying Buffalo, this is a nice look at the planes and the people who fly and work on them. H.M.
