At the first flight BHP307/308 from Zurich to Varna and back to Zurich with registration HB-HIS is flying B-757-200 ahead with Cpt. Eichenberger. An experienced captain of the B-757. During the whole flight the spectator will receive useful information about the cockpit preparation of the cabin, walkaround near the plane, exclusive explanations about all the buttons and instruments in the cabin. All the action is caught by multiple cameras located in different places – at the terminals, in the pilot cabin, in the main passenger salon and on the ground. The flight duration is approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes to Varna and back to Zurich. Actually the both cabins of B- 757 and B-767 are almost similar which makes the pilots operate easily the both planes with no need of extra training. In this case the company has made a good choice with only Boeing fleet. The ICAO code of the charter airline is BHP and IATA – 4T with a constant callsign – Belair. The whole operating fleet consists of 2 B-757-200 (HB-IHS and HB-IHR) both featured in the video production, and 1 B- 767-300 (HB-ISE). To find out more info about the airline you could easily see their website at www.belair-airlines.com. Now lets take a look at the box. The typical package is a DVD style box including inside the video. Usually inside is only the disk, without any other materials. The coverphoto is pretty exotic, showing one of B-757s of the airline overflying high mountains! At the rear side you will find useful information about the flights, captains, flights duration and a short text describing the airline accompanies with a nice photo of the crew! The total running time is 181 minutes, which makes more than 3 hours high quality video describing every procedure, movement and cockpit preparation during ordinary flight. To achieve maximum quality of the sound recording, the operators use dual channel sound capturing system, which may affect in some situations. Some times channel two can’t be heard if your in “mono” mode, please switch to “stereo” to be able to hear all the sound. The finalize the general review, at all the mentioned airports, you will observe all real-life procedures at Varna, Kos, Heraklion and Zurich int. We wish you happy flying in the skies with Belair charter operator!

An
excellent insight into operations in/out Zürich
Airport with the new Midfield Dock E. Nice early
morning departure from Zurich with the sun coming up over
Austria. Visual approaches into Heraklion and Korfu show
that hand-flying can be lots of fun, even in modern airline
environment. Very special that the crew had the cockpit
window open during taxi-in so the engine sound could be
heard. Great view of ZRH from high above during descent
from the south.

The
Belair DVD is another first-rate program! As well as being
introduced to an airline I'd never heard of before, I
enjoyed seeing the operation of the Boeing aircraft and the
interesting presentation of the 767. The filming was
excellent and captured the flights nicely, allowing the
viewer to feel as though they are actually onboard
themselves. Thank-you Just Planes! Luke

Last
week I received the DVD featuring Belair (757 & 767). So
far I have enjoyed it - especially the takeoffs and landings
into Zurich. The scene of Venice was excellent too. I hope
Justplanes will release more DVDs featuring flights in and
out of Zurich and more scenes of Venice.
