Aurigny has
served the Channel Islands since 1968. Its scheduled
services between Guernsey, Jersey, and Alderney, and to
destinations in the UK and Continental Europe, provide a
lifeline for the local communities and their thriving
business and tourism sectors. To date, Aurigny has carried
more than 8 million passengers. In 1999 the airline
introduced its first pressurized aircraft, a Saab 340. In
2002 the 4th Saab is delivered. They service busy routes
such as London, Manchester and Amsterdam.
This program is a very unique opportunity to fly some very rare and unusual aircraft, its also the only film in our series to feature the Shorts 360 and Trislander!
On the Trislander you go along for 6 flights to Alderney, Guernsey, Southampton as well as Dinard in France. On the Shorts 360 you join in the cockpit for 4 flights between Guernsey and Jersey. Wrapping the program up with 4 flights on the Saab 340 between Guernsey and London Stansted as well as the Guernsey to Amsterdam route.
This program takes you on all 3 types of aircraft operated
by Aurigny (Saab, Shorts & Trislander) on a variety

Thank
you for your series on the Shorts360. I live in the
United States and I will be starting a Shorts 360
class for a Cargo Airline in Florida soon. This DVD
has helped me learn how this aircraft flies. The
video also helped me in understanding how foreign
air traffic and airlines run their systems. I can't
even begin to describe how beautiful the scenery is
also and how well the camera man captures it all.
Thanks again and keep rollin the film. Jamie

As
a teenager, living in Dinard, France, I have spent
hours raising my eyes to admire the Trislanders,
those unique aircrafts, and listening to their
singing but powerful sound. So it was an immense
pleasure for me to get the opportunity to watch and
listen to them endlessly, now I have left Dinard.
The other aircrafts are very interesting too, with
very beautiful views indeed of the sea, clouds and
airports in autumn conditions flights. Thank you
very much! Jean-François

Thank
you very much for your Aurigny DVD. I have flown on
Trislanders twice this year to Alderney and
the coverage of the aircraft is great. Landing at
the narrow runway in Alderney brought back all my
memories of my flights. The captain gives an
excellent talk about the instuments in the
cockpit and the take off from the cabin was
amazing. I can't get enough of the sound of those
Lycoming engines. The coverage of the Saab 340 and
Shorts 360 is also very good. Well worth the
money. Hywel

I
enjoyed the Aurigny DVD very much. Have travelled
on the Aurigny Trislanders many times as my wife is
from Alderney. One point I think would improve the
DVD, a little, would be to have a few external
shots of the plane as it lands edited in with the
cockpit views, otherwise a very accurate record of
Trislander flights. Have yet to travel on the
Shorts 360 or SAAB 340 but after viewing the DVD
its the next best thing. Mike

"Thank
you very much for your Aurigny DVD. I enjoyed it
immensely! It is an excellent product with
great variety of both the aircraft it portrays and
showing the various operational aspects of flying
smaller commuter aircraft. The First Officer on
the Saab 340, bound for Stansted, gives a
very good cockpit briefing making
even the more intricate aspects of the panel
understandable. The cameraman also does a great job
in capturing the atmosphere as we break through the
clouds after departing Guernsey. The video shots of
the Shorts 360 just confirm that this is a
very unique aircraft. Despite its ungainly
appearance it is a real workhorse and flies
very well. (I've flown in one myself!) The
scenery views taken from the various flights are
just magnificent and gives you a
good description of the environment these
pilots work in. I just wish I could have
participated as copilot on the Trislander. Landing
at the tiny little airport at
Alderney was exhilarating! Keep up the good
work!" Glenn

Fantastic
work on the Trislander and Shorts 360. There's not
much room in either but you did it. Great views and
detail of the flights. I'm a big Shorts fan, and
I'm glad and privileged to have been of help to
your team in some small way in this DVD. Nick

A
very nice program on Aurigny Air Services! A very
informative presentation by the marketing manager
serves as a good introduction of the company. The
best coverage ever of the Saab 340 with a very
thorough cockpit presentation and a flight in the
cabin on the return from Amsterdam to Guernsey. The
4 flights on the Shorts 360 feature some
interesting and unique camera angles in the cockpit
and great scenery of the Channel Islands in stormy
weather. The flights on board the Trislanders are
lots of fun with more wonderful scenery and
excellent camera work. I love the sound of those
lycoming engines! I'm looking forward to many more
programs in this fabulous World Air Routes
series! Greg
