I just received the Atlantic Airways DVD, and it's great. With your great service, the DVD arrived in the UK within 2 weeks of ordering (During Thanksgiving weekend sale). Great scenery, interesting company, and very candid and interesting crews. The explanations of the special considerations (Alternates, staying in Norwegian & Icelandic airspace to avoid having overfly costs for Scotland) due to the remote location of the Faros Islands, were especially interesting. The approaches into Vagar with mountain turbulence were very interesting. The Helicopter ops at the end were a nice difference, as well. I'm thinking of going to The Faros next summer on holiday, now.

Very different from the big busy airports, this one is focused on the small islands of the Faroes. The main gateway of Vagar airport has some very interesting terrain around, not to mention the winds and this makes for some very interesting approaches. These are all explained in detail by the great crews of Atlantic Airways. The approach into Sumburgh (Shetland Islands) is another highlight of this DVD. All the details of the flights and a look at the cockpit of the Avro RJ are well done by the crews.
The final part of the DVD is a helicopter tour around the Faroe Islands and this gives a very interesting look at the amazing terrain of the islands and also an insight into helicopter flying. A must have DVD for anyone who likes interesting small remote airports. Well done World Air Routes crew and Atlantic Airways Andy Solaini, UK
An unusual place to visit and a very interesting airline. What is really interesting to me was the flight in the Bell 412 helicopter which was new at the time to your inventory of aircraft flown. The coverage was excellent and the video spectacular! This is one that I will recommend.

This DVD is packed full of amazing scenery, friendly crews, and interesting operations into an area (the Faroe Islands) that many haven't had the pleasure of seeing before. And what a pleasure it is! Some of the most spectacular scenery awaits you on this DVD, not to mention the fantastic crew explanations and information on the AVRO jets, and the tour of the Faroes with the workhorse Bell 412 helicopter that gives a different, more close-up view of the scenery than is possible with the fixed-wing jet flights. Another outstanding program! Tim Herman, USA
Thanks for an excellent program on Atlantic Airways. It is a great way to learn about this small airline based in a remote part of the world. The flight crews were very good at providing frequent presentations on various aspects of the flying, especially the unique operational procedures and considerations that are required when flying to the Faroe Islands. I also enjoyed seeing the approach to Sumburgh, which was captured very well by the director. The helicopter flights were great also, I had no idea the Faroe Islands were so spectacular and this program has inspired me to visit. I look forward to flying there with Atlantic Airways! Thanks again for another great World Air Routes program! Luke Harding, UK
