Air Dolomiti, founded in 1989, started operations in 1991 and is now part of the Lufthansa Group. The airline now operates more than 750 flights a week with a fleet of ATR42s, AT72s and BAe146s.
The airline's Head of Flight Operations takes you in the cockpit of the BAe146 for 3 flights to Milan and Naples from Munich. He introduces Air Dolomiti, explains how pilot duties are and gives a detailed presentation of the 146. Also included is some in the cabin action. You then take a seat in the cockpit of the ATR-72 for 10 flights from the Munich hub to Basel and 4 destinations in Italy.

Just Planes takes us on yet another captivating journey to destinations in Italy and Germany onboard the BAE146 and ATR-42/72. The first segment of the DVD features the Bae146 on flights to Milan and Naples from Munich Germany. Most of these flights were routine in that they didn't feature many outstanding highlights.
However, some of the points of interest you may like to know about include a cockpit presentation, external walkaround, cabin service presentation and an interesting discussion by the captain on the history of the company. The second segment which featured the ATR was equally as exciting as the first and it featured an interesting walk around of the ATR which I think many of you might find enlightening.
Overall my impression of this DVD is that while it isn't bad, it isn't the best we have seen from Just Planes. Nonetheless, if you are a fan of the ATR or BAE146 and you want to learn more about the procedures involved in flying these aircrafts, then this DVD may be suited for you.

What a smashing DVD, the cockpit presentations and walk around of the 146 was really quite exceptional. The pilot describes every feature of this aircraft in exquisite detail & was great to be able to experience different angles from the cabin as well as the cockpit in these aircraft, a great set of destinations really rounds of this DVD!

After waching the Air Dolomiti dvd I can truly understand why this airline is considered to be one of the world's top regional airlines. You can see the passion of the staff about their job and how inviting they are, as it should be. I loved captain Casamatti's through explanation about the airlines' history and his personal voyage towards becoming a pilot. The nice variety of destinations also contributed a lot to this program and made it very enjoyable to watch.

Thank You Just Planes for another very nice World Air Routes program, this time on Italian regional airline Air Dolomiti! This DVD has the best coverage I have seen on the BAe146, with very detailed cockpit presentations and walkround. Also a nice flight in the cabin from Munich to Naples on the same airplane. Captain Casamatti gives an interesting and detailed history of the company, along with information on his career history as a pilot. Nicely done! Also, interesting coverage on this DVD of the ATR 42 and ATR 72 with a good walkaround presentation of the 72 and several flights in the cockpit on board of both ATR models to several European destinations with some good views across the Alps in summer. I'm looking forward to the next World Air Routes regional program! Keep up the great work Just Planes, and thanks again!
